At Peterson & Plum Home Staging, we proudly took on the rejuvenation project for an Airbnb property known affectionately as "417 Park". This was no ordinary makeover. We transformed every corner, swapped out the old for the new, and completely reinvented the flow of the space. This wasn't just about moving furniture around, it was about creating an environment that was equal parts comforting and visually stunning. The online photos of 417 Park were enticing, but they didn’t tell the whole story.
When guests arrived, there was a bit of a 'plot twist' - the real-life experience was a far cry from the captivating visuals. So, we rolled up our sleeves and whisked our magic wand (aka fantastic interior design skills) over it. Viewing each challenge as an opportunity, we remember our core principle – 'A house is not just about the bricks and mortar but about the love and dreams woven into it.' The living room at 417 Park was a design challenge we were thrilled to take on. Here's a snapshot of our transformation journey with the real heart of the home.

Guests were initially captivated by the cozy and well-maintained living room offer presented in the Airbnb listing photos. Who wouldn't be?

Reality turned out to be a bit different. Upon arrival, guests found a worn sofa, missing throw pillows, scratched coffee table, and stained carpet and chairs. The room lacked a dining area, and the seating capacity stopped at five.
What We Did
We amalgamated style and comfort with a modern loveseat, warmed up the room's gray palette, and implemented glass tables to magnify visual space. A chic light fixture was added, and we sized down the carpet to give the illusion of a more spacious room.
The old slipper chairs were swapped, and a dining area was introduced. Plus, we boosted the seating capacity to seven, making the space more congenial for larger gatherings. The living room's allure was restored and even amplified with these enhancements.

What We Did
We spruced up the bed with splashes of color and added eye-catching art pieces fitting the room size. To eliminate the empty feel, we curated bespoke decor for the shelves and infused a warmth that makes this space more than just a room - a retreat. With these thoughtful touches, we transformed the master bedroom into a picturesque and comfortable haven.

We breathed life into the room by adding color-toned bedding, ramped up the aesthetic appeal with fitting art pieces, and tastefully adorned the shelves. By doing so, we amplified the room's warmth, transforming it into a colorful and cozy retreat guests would love to unwind in.

We rolled up our sleeves and made the bed a vibrant focal point, adding just the right pops of color. To remedy the emptiness, we carefully curated decor for the shelves. By warming up the room, we transformed Bedroom #3 into an inviting haven perfect for relaxation.

Next up on our 417 Park revamp journey was the heart of any home - the kitchen. We viewed its transformation as an opportunity to spice up life with some exciting changes!

The reality, however, was a slightly less appetizing version, with a worn-out bar top as the only eating spot and an eyesore of a visible water heater in the kitchen area.
What We Did
As part of the transformation, we swapped the old for the new by replacing the bar table and decided to throw in a curveball, adding some visual flair to the fridge. As for the water heater, we tactfully screened it out of sight. Through these measures, we successfully returned the kitchen at 417 Park to its enjoyable, homely self.

The office space at 417 Park posed an exciting challenge - a chance to merge functionality with aesthetics. We rolled our sleeves, eager to transform it into a vibrant productivity hub.

However, guests were met with a less appealing reality - a worn-out carpet and mismatched, outdated furniture. The online images did not translate to the same charm in person.
What We Did
We set about effecting a transformation - out went the old, tattered carpet, making way for a fresh replacement. The office chair was updated for a more comfortable sitting experience. A furniture rearrangement brought a sense of coherence and space to the room, and a touch of art brought with it the room's lost charm. With these changes, we ensured the office at 417 Park was a space where productivity and comfort cohabited happily.
